Earn money playing games on Freecash
I've made over $800. The profile below is $820.15 in total earnings, 271 offers, level 590, #23 Gold League.
I run Twelve Games, so I already spend my days inside other people's games. Freecash is where I get paid for some of those hours. This is the 2026 review I wish I had read first: what the coins are worth, which offers are real work, and what changed when the app stores pulled the apps.
By @mattmerrick16. Disclosure: links to Freecash on this page use my referral, freecash.com/r/paperphantom. I earn a commission if you sign up through it and play. Your offer list will not match mine.
The screenshot, read properly
The number people quote is $820.15. That is lifetime total earnings, not the cash sitting in the account today. The header of the same screen shows a $19.50 balance. That gap is the point. I withdraw. I do not treat a coin balance as a savings account.
Under the name, the badge says #23 Gold League. Beside the earnings: 271 offers completed and level 590, with 910 coins left on the bar to level up. A 13-day streak is in the top chip. None of that is a wage. It is a long stack of finished tasks.

Is Freecash legit in 2026?
Legit means the coins can become money you actually receive. On that test, Freecash has paid me. $820.15 did not appear because I stared at a homepage. It posted because offers completed and I cashed out.
It is still a rewards site. You earn coins for other companies' tasks: mobile games with level goals, surveys, app installs, and financial or crypto sign-ups. The exchange rate that matters is simple. One thousand coins equal one dollar. Everything else on the screen is decoration until it survives that conversion and a withdrawal.
I would not call it a salary, and I would not call the giant number on a game card a paycheck. I rate the product 4 out of 5. It pays when you treat a goal like a task, start it from their site, and withdraw. Fees, missed tracking, and the app-store removals are why it is not a 5.
How you earn money playing games
Game offers are the part I actually use. The games tab is a wall of idle and incremental titles: kitchen games, forest collectors, drillers, critter battles, island builders. Cards sometimes print a huge total, the kind of figure that looks like rent. Read the lines under it before you feel anything.
That total is a pile of checkpoints. Reach level 10 in 30 days for one amount. Reach level 20 for another. The last rungs can sit on a clock of 50 days or more. Add the rungs and you get the headline. Miss the clock and that rung pays nothing. A weekend hobby and a part-time job can sit on the same card.
Inside the game, the loop is familiar if you play idlers. Collect, upgrade the makers, watch a number climb. Some of these games put a PayPal or cash-out bar inside their own UI. That bar is the game talking. It is not a Freecash withdrawal. I keep two ledgers in my head: Freecash coins, which cash out, and in-game gold, which is costume jewelry.
If you like this genre for its own sake, the idle and incremental games guide on Twelve Games breaks down why these loops hold attention. Freecash puts a dollar list on top of that loop. The loop was already going to eat the hour. The coins are the bonus.
- A four-figure card is a sum of timed levels, not a wire transfer.
- The same game can appear on two offer walls at two prices. Trust the dollar line, not a “+50%” sticker. Sometimes the sticker is already baked into a worse base.
- A “spend more, get more” bar is the game shop. Buying it can wipe the profit before the wall ever credits.
- Surveys are filler while an idle ticks. A phone-call survey for pocket change is a close-tab.
How I start an offer so it tracks
- I open Freecash in the browser and hit Play on the card. I do not search the game in a store and hope the tracker notices.
- I turn the VPN off and pause the ad blocker. Both of them are famous for making a finished level look like it never happened.
- I read the milestone list before I install. If the only money is behind a whale purchase or a level I will not reach before the clock dies, I leave.
- I play the loop: collect, upgrade makers, skip the shop unless a purchase is the actual goal I am on.
- When I cross a paid checkpoint I screenshot the level and the offer card. If the coins never move, those two images are the whole support ticket.
Offer walls I see in rotation include Ayet Studios, Torox, TimeWall, Lootably, AdGate, CPX Research, BitLabs, Pollfish, Inbrain, and yoursurveys. Prices move. I re-read the card the day I start, not a blog post from last month, including this one.
Payouts, fees, and the first cashout
One thousand coins equal one dollar. That is the only conversion I memorize. The first withdrawal is the annoying one: often about $20, and they often want an ID check. After that, minimums usually fall.
| Method | What I expect | Minimum, later |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Fast. About a 5% fee. A $5 cashout can land near $3.75 after their cut and a consumer fee. | Often about $2.50 |
| Crypto | Usually the cheapest rail if you already hold Bitcoin, Litecoin, Solana, or Dogecoin. | Sometimes about $0.50 |
| Gift cards | Amazon and Apple are the ones I see used most. | Often about $2.50 |
| Bank or Visa | Bank transfer and a Visa prepaid card are on the list. Check the fee line before you confirm. | Varies |
I cash out. The $19.50 on my profile, next to $820.15 lifetime, is what that habit looks like. Coins are not a bank, and a rewards company is not a place I want a fat balance “for later.”
The apps are gone. The website is not.
Apple removed the Freecash iOS app on April 13, 2026. Google Play removed the Android app on April 15, 2026. If you are searching the stores in 2026 and finding nothing, that is why. The offers did not vanish with the listing. I use the website.
The reporting around the removal was ugly: affiliate ads that sold a fantasy hourly wage, a privacy policy people read as too broad, and an earlier store mess in 2024. Freecash said the ads were affiliates and that they follow GDPR. I am not their lawyer. My rule is narrower. I play on the web, I screenshot goals, and I withdraw.
The store ban is a real trust hit. It is also why I do not hoard coins waiting for an app to come back. The path that still pays is the one in the browser.
When the coins do not show up
This is the part that makes people swear the site is a scam. You hit the level. The wall shrugs. The tracker is a middleman between the game studio, an offer wall, and Freecash. Sometimes it just misses.
My order when that happens: wait a day, sometimes two. Then ticket the offer wall with the screenshots. Then ticket Freecash. I have seen a manual credit. I have also seen “not us.” Without the screenshots you lose that argument, including on a card whose headline was four figures you were never guaranteed.
- VPN off. Ad blocker off. One browser profile.
- Start from the Freecash card, every time.
- Screenshot the card before you play and the level after.
- Wait 24–48 hours before you open a ticket.
- Wall support first, Freecash support second.
What gets an account killed
These are not gray areas. A second account, including a sibling on the same Wi-Fi, a VPN on an offer, a cheated APK, or paying a stranger to “finish your levels” can wipe the account. The last one is how people buy a ban and call it a service.
I also skip casino cards. They are dressed like game cards. They are a deposit. I am not staking $50 for a chance that a wall credits me. KYC sign-ups pay more per minute than grinding a frog to level 40, and they also want your face and sometimes a deposit. Different task. Read it as a signup, not as play.
Referrals used to pay a slice of whatever your people earned. That model is gone. What is left is closer to a one-time bounty if someone signs up and actually plays. My link is still paperphantom. That is the deal on this page, and the current bounty is whatever Freecash prints when you land, not a number I am going to freeze in an article.
What the $800 is actually worth
$820.15 across 271 offers is a real total. It is not a weekly wage, and it is not a promise that your first month looks like mine. Country changes the inventory. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Western Europe usually see more offers than everyone else. Your screenshot will not match mine.
A honest range, from my own use and from watching the cards: casual surveys can be a few dollars a day. A regular mix of games and short offers often lands in the low-to-mid single digits per day. People who treat a milestone list like a job can have a stronger month. The homepage-style “up to $500 a month if you actually play” line is a ceiling for someone who shows up, not a direct deposit.
I keep playing because I already want the hours inside these idle loops. I make games. Sitting in someone else's collector, on purpose, is research that happens to pay. If you hate the loop, the coins will not make level 110 feel like a hobby. If you were going to play anyway, Freecash is the cleanest way I have found to get paid for it.
While you are here, Twelve Games publishes 12 new games every day and a set of in-house browser games. Those do not pay Freecash coins. They are the other half of how I spend a play session.
Freecash questions I actually get
Is Freecash legit?
Yes, with limits. My profile shows $820.15 in total earnings across 271 completed offers. Coins convert at 1,000 to $1 and can be withdrawn to PayPal, crypto, gift cards, bank transfer, or a Visa prepaid card. It is a rewards site, not a job, and some offers fail to track.
How much can you earn playing games on Freecash?
Casual surveys are often a few dollars a day. A regular mix of games and offers is commonly the low-to-mid single digits per day. My own total is $820.15 over 271 offers, which is a long run of small goals, not one payout. Offer cards that advertise four figures are a stack of timed milestones.
How do Freecash payouts work?
1,000 coins equal $1. PayPal is fast and charges about 5%. A $5 PayPal cashout can land near $3.75 after fees. Crypto is usually cheaper. The first withdrawal is often about $20 and may require an ID check. After that, minimums often drop to about $2.50 for PayPal and gift cards, and sometimes about $0.50 for crypto.
Did Apple and Google remove the Freecash app?
Apple removed the iOS app on April 13, 2026. Google Play followed on April 15, 2026. The website still hosts the offers. I play and cash out on the website, and I do not leave a large coin balance sitting there.
Why didn't my Freecash offer credit?
Tracking sits between the game and Freecash, and it misses. Turn off VPNs and ad blockers, start the offer from inside Freecash, and screenshot the goal. If nothing posts, wait 24 to 48 hours, then ticket the offer wall and Freecash support with those screenshots.
What should I avoid on Freecash?
Do not open a second account, share a household IP with another account, use a VPN, install a cheated game file, or pay a stranger to finish your levels. Skip casino-style offers unless you can afford to lose the deposit. Those are not game rewards.
